Luxembourg is one of the smallest, yet also one of the most international countries in Europe. Through openness and resourcefulness, it has become a global hub for sustainability, innovation, and connectivity – constantly reinventing itself. The scenography of the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo Dubai aimed to make this pioneering spirit tangible: informative and entertaining for all.

Under the motto “Resourceful Luxembourg,” the pavilion forms a Möbius strip – a symbol of infinity and Luxembourg’s vision of a connected world. Across five areas – DIVERSE, CONNECTING, SUSTAINABLE, ENTERPRISING, and BEAUTIFUL – Luxembourg’s many facets come to life as a walk-through film, experienced both in passing and through deeper narrative layers.
The parametric wall design creates a seamless storyline through varied installations. Luxembourg becomes an experience for all senses: a cloud of languages and faces immerses visitors in its diversity. Connectivity reaching into space is made tangible through immersive imagery. An audio score by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra builds towards a climax. A panoramic cinema celebrates the country’s pioneering spirit using a 180° setup and 3D imaging to create spatial depth without additional aids. A slide through a valley with trees, birdsong, and a specially created scent forms a playful final moment.
