As part of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, a unique art project has been realised that focuses on the history and legacy of Robert Bosch. A central element of the project is an impressive stele made of highly polished stainless steel, whose red-painted edges evoke the foundation’s signature red. Weighing approximately 200 kilograms and crafted to Robert Bosch’s original dimensions, the reflective statue bears stories and information about his life and work.
Drawing on the first iconic image – Robert Bosch alongside his bicycle, which was cutting-edge for its time – the team at jangled nerves delved deep into the early days of Robert Bosch’s founding and developed a monument that captures his progressive and forward-thinking mindset.
To enhance the experience, the statue features explanatory text and QR codes that give visitors access to further information and multimedia content. This innovative blend of art and technology offers deeper insights into the life of Robert Bosch, whilst further installations are currently being planned in close collaboration with the Robert Bosch Stiftung to complement the project.
