The redesigned two-storey forum by jangled nerves is structured into three areas: the atrium as a space for dialogue for events and brand presentations, as well as two additional single-storey exhibition areas directly connected to it.

Their thematic structure follows the new classification into “People” and “Goods” as the central transport themes of Knorr-Bremse. The two business divisions “rail vehicles” and “commercial vehicles” are thus combined in the current presentation. This emphasizes important synergies and clearly demonstrates Knorr-Bremse’s comprehensive technological expertise.

In addition, the redesign of the forum addresses current topics such as urbanization, digitalization, and demographic change, as well as their implications for the future of mobility.

The atrium and the two exhibition areas are characterized by a clear formal design language, enabling a quick and unambiguous overview of all individual topics presented in the forum. This allows for target-group-oriented and individualized guided tours.

In each exhibition area, Knorr-Bremse products are presented on thematic islands at original scale. Each island focuses on a product with particularly high requirements and relevance for a specific vehicle type. It is also located in close proximity to a miniature model of that vehicle type. Vehicle-specific solutions are presented in a way that allows them to be explored in detail and prominently highlighted. This exemplary presentation simultaneously maintains its strong relevance for the entire product family.

In front of the window front, the “horizon” frames each exhibition area spatially and conceptually. It expands the perspective and integrates additional thematic content. These relate to the vehicle models on the opposite portfolio side and the products presented there. Content includes physical principles, product and development history narratives, and current research topics at Knorr-Bremse.

In addition to textual and graphical presentation, the horizon also provides space for media installations and hands-on exhibits.
