Public Transport – Experience and Understanding
As a black circle on a white background, the information desk immediately draws all attention and serves as the first point of orientation and contact for all customers of the new customer center of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV).
The redesigned customer center convinces with its timeless style and clear lines. Bright colors and carefully placed accents create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere – including separable areas for additional privacy. The high-contrast design connects the customer center and the experience world, surfaces and media into a unified visual identity.
The experience world takes up the motif of the circle: inside the round space, floor and wall projections create a multifaceted image of the KVV with its extensive network of rail and road connections – inviting visitors to explore the region and its places in real life together with the KVV.
While the interior of the circle is dynamically activated with media content, the outer wall offers interactive stations, providing further insights into the public transport network. Representative objects convey in-depth information about mobility, employees from different areas of the KVV share personal insights into their work, and a driving simulator allows visitors to step into the driver’s cab of a tram.
The new KVV customer center: bright and inviting, informative and entertaining.
