Robert Bosch Stiftung

The striking strange bike

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, jangled nerves designed and conceived the silhouette of the founder Robert Bosch in a special way.

As part of the celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, a unique art project was realized that focuses on the history and legacy of Robert Bosch. A central element of the project is an impressive stele made of highly polished stainless steel, whose red painted edges are reminiscent of the foundation's red color. Weighing around 200 kilograms and made in the original size of Robert Bosch, the reflective statue carries stories and information about his life and work. ‍

With the first realized symbolism, Robert Bosch together with his then progressive wheel, the team of jangled nerves dived deep into the early founding days of Robert Bosch and developed a stele that portrays his progressive and future-oriented way of thinking. ‍

To enrich the experience, explanatory content and QR codes are integrated on the statue, giving visitors access to further information and multimedia content. This innovative combination of art and technology makes it possible to gain deeper insights into the life of Robert Bosch, while further objects are being planned in close cooperation with the Robert Bosch Stiftung to complement the project.
